Reach out to Bay Area organizations that need money to feed homeless youth.
Individuals and Corporations that will agree to donate money based on total number of strikeouts each year of high school softball season ending June 1, 2014.
Target goal of delivering $5000 (which will serve over 2400 meals and other services) in funds to be given to the Bay Area Rescue Mission during a ceremony in September 2013.
About Rachel Sanders:
I am a junior at Holy Names High School in Oakland California, and I attend Corpus Christi Catholic Church. My passion is to play softball and the violin. When I graduate from college, I hope to become an architect. Currently I live with my parents, and my older sister attends college in South Carolina. Growing up in Oakland, I have seen many disturbing things, but nothing more troubling than knowing kids my age are alone on the streets and without a home or regular meals. Help me help others.

Thank you very much for helping me strikeout hunger in our community. I have seen and heard of too many kids not having as little as daily meals. Many are homeless and do not have a roof over their heads. What we will provide is a small gift of nourishment for these children, but it is just a start. I hope to do this again next year!

Top photo is a picture of the sleeping area for men, next is a pallet of clothes from donations, pressed and packaged for future needs. Some clothes are even delivered to other countries when needed. Bottom photo is a location they have for housing and the cafeteria.
